About Audiences Wales / Hanes Cynulleidfaoedd Cymru

Audiences Wales is an agency dedicated to increasing access to the arts and cultural sector in Wales.

We provide a range of tactical and strategic marketing services for a wide range of organisations, from opera companies to galleries, to amateur theatre companies and museums.

Our primary aim is to understand our audiences and potential audiences better, so that we can work with our partners to improve marketing communications, spreading the message more widely amongst the public, and encouraging greater levels of engagement with this essential part of life in Wales.

Audiences Wales was created as a result of a merger that took place in April 2005 between Cardiff Arts Marketing (CAM), Valleys Arts Marketing (VAM) and Marketing the Arts in Swansea and Carmarthenshire (MASC).

The three agencies had each been undertaking research and development work for the arts and cultural industries for over 25 years, and had built up an impressive range of expertise and experience, which has now been made available to an even larger number of cultural organisations through the creation of Audiences Wales.

Mae Cynulleidfaoedd Cymru yn asiantaeth sydd wedi ymrwymo i gynyddu cyfranogiad a mynychiad y celfyddydau a’r sector ddiwylliannol yng Nghymru.

Rydym yn cynnig gwasanaethau marchnata i sefydliadau eang, o opera i orielau, i gwmniau theatr lleol ac amgueddfeydd.

Ein prif fwriad yw i gael gwell dealltwriaeth o’n cynulleidfaoedd, er mwyn gweithio i wella marchnata gyda’n partneriaid. Drwy hyn fe allwn annog gwell ymrwymiad gyda’r rhan yma o fywyd Cymreig.

Crewyd Cynulleidfaoedd Cymru ym mis Ebrill 2005, pan ddaeth ‘Cardiff Arts Marketing’ (CAM), ‘Valleys Arts Marketing’ (VAM) a ‘Marketing the Arts Swansea Carmarthenshire’ (MASC) at ei gilydd i ffurfio un cwmni.

Bu’r tri asiantaeth yn gweithio yn y celfyddydau am dros 25 o flynyddoedd, yn ymchwilio a datblygu cynulleidfaoedd yn lleol. Mae’r profiad a ennillwyd dros y blynyddoed yma yn awr ar gael i rhagor o fudiadau drwy Cynulleidfaoedd Cymru.
